Installation Checklist

Complete each step to verify the Product Addons experience from product page to checkout.

    Import demo products

    Import demo products to create a reference parent product and add-on products in your store.

    Add ?shop=your-store.myshopify.com to this URL to enable shop-specific actions like demo import.

    Add the Product Addons theme app extension

    Add the Product Addons theme app extension to your product page template (PDP) in the theme editor.

    Preview and test the demo PDP

    Preview the demo product PDP and test adding the parent product to cart with one or more add-ons selected.

    Confirm grouped checkout lines

    Go to checkout and confirm the parent product and selected add-ons are grouped correctly.

    Set the Product App Metafield on other products

    Set the Product App Metafield app.add_on_products (key: add_on_products) on other products where you want add-ons to appear.

    Optional (coming soon): Cart template support

    If you want add-ons explicitly rendered in cart UI, you will need cart template Liquid updates when that support is released.
